Rain, Willow and Mud

This project takes on the challenge of applying purely organic materials and traditional methods of making into the contemporary practice of architecture. More specifically, investigation into wattle and daub, which is a historic form of construction that combines the lattice of plant-based strips with sticky material usually made of some combination of wet soil, clay, sand, animal dung and straw.
